I ended up departing here to start the hike

I was a 91W ARMY medic back in 2000 Fighting in operation Iraqi Freedom 2004 Here's an epic picture of me climbing into one of the sabers at Victory Arch I got out of the military in 2005, raced for Team Texas a bit then toured the United States by motorcycle. I would spend my days on the bike and my nights in my 8x5 cargo trailer. When I was ready to see some new terrain I would haul the entire operation down the road to the next town. Attack on Kendrick

 I started the weekend with a dirtbike ride around Kendrick Peak mostly looking for a good camp site. The next day I set out to summit Kendrick Peak on foot That's Kendrick Peak successfully summited (10,400 ft) I got cussed out by one of the locals! I had slept overnight in my hammock and awoke to the sound of approaching footsteps. I opened my eyes and found myself face to face with a squirrel! He was trying to climb down the tree I was sleeping in and had some choice words to say.
